  We spoke to the front desk about the oven, and asked if they could salt the walkway and parking area in front of the cottage since it was very slippery (which should have been done automatically for liability purposes). We then left for about 6 hours. After returning, the ice was thicker and and more slippery than before, and was not salted. They did change the oven all together though, but they replaced it with another one that was probably a decade older than the first. It did work, but was an eyesore for sure.

  We experienced Tally Ho Inn many times but this last time was the best! We hosted a 65 person event this October 2017 and it will forever be in our memories as being fantastic. The staff was absolutely friendly and extremely accommodating and helpful in so many ways. Our family from England, Brampton, Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston and more were impressed and loved having fireplaces and lake views from their cottages. We had ample space for everyone to gather, even though we didn't have the best weather- no one was bored! Game rooms, the location and accommodations were more than satisfactory. We hope to host another event sooner than later. A special thanks to Ashley for all your help and hard work!! Truly appreciate all you did for us to make our event the best it could be!   The staff were very friendly, and we were able to rent out snowshoes for a day for free.

  All in all, I would probably stay at the Tally Ho Inn again since I know the area now, but I would get a different cottage and would thoroughly inspect my room prior to checking in.

  The oven was so old that it wouldn't turn off properly, and would actually turn on by itself at random occasions. We had to unplug it from the wall between uses for safety purposes.

  It was so nice we went on a Monday left Tuesday then drove back up to stay on Thursday. We got the Windy Ridge on Monday. On Thursday we rented The Nook. Very friendly staff. The Fireplace was beautiful as well as the view.

  1) The CO detector in the room went off in the middle of the night from the fireplace and we had to open the windows to quiet it

  Stayed in the 'Four Gables' cottage for the last few nights. Very very outdated. Not clean whatsoever. Dishes were not washed upon arrival (there were literally crumbs on the baking sheets and food stains in the plates and utensils). Other kitchen utensils were either too dull to use, or not working at all.

  The cabin was decent and clean with lots of wood for the fire. We weren’t up for breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

  We decided to get away for a night on a Wag-jag deal in the late fall and ended up staying here in a small cabin. The area is nice and quiet and there is a nice restaurant just down the street to have dinner.

  The linens and towels were clean, but there were cobwebs in the corners of the bedrooms and in the kitchen as well.

  The bathroom is small, but does the job. It is located right in the middle of the cottage. There isn't a fan in it though, and the walls are 'paper thin', meaning that you have essentially zero sound privacy.

  The view from the living room was beautiful. The fireplace was nice and cozy, though the wood for the fire was frozen to the ground outside.
